DMAB “Art in the Park” Concert Series featuring Victor Provost
Steel Pan sensation Victor Provost excited the crowd at our April “Art in the Park” Concert Series with Ulysses Owens, Jr. and Friends. Victor Provost is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading voices on the unique, and often misunderstood, steel pan (or steel drum). Victor tours with NEA Jazz Master, Paquito D’Rivera, is a member of the GRAMMY award-winning Afro Bop Alliance, and works with several of the Mid-Atlantic region’s most lauded musical collectives.
Our “Art in the Park” is the first concert series conceived by the Don’t Miss a Beat Organization and is solely for the surrounding community to give them consistent access to artistic activity.
Thanks to the PNC Arts Alive grant,“Art in the Park” will host over 13 Performance events of multiple genres including gallery exhibits, jazz concerts, dance events, and concerts showcasing students from the Academy of the Arts program and will feature Award winning international artists, locally and from around the world.
