Who are we helping?
DMAB serves 300+ families (and parents) each year with many coming from local schools where more than 75% of students qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. These schools include Central Riverside Elementary, Fishweir Elementary, Thomas Jefferson Elementary, S.P. Livingston Elementary, Annie R. Morgan Elementary, Paxon Middle School and Eugene Butler Middle School. We also serve individuals through the Neighborhood Association of the Brooklyn and Mixon-Town developments, where approximately 90% of the residents live well below the national poverty level. Additionally, DMAB meets with church music ministries, theatre teachers and producers for referrals to our program.
